We are on the lookout for a Lead Performance Test Engineer to join our remote team.
Your primary responsibility will be the assessment of 3rd party applications’ capacity, stability, and scalability before integration into our client’s system. This role necessitates the creation and execution of tests to ensure systems are functioning at peak performance. You will be integral in delivering top-notch service to our clients and fostering effective collaboration with team members, primarily based in North American time zones.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years of performance testing experience
• At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
• Solid grasp of performance testing fundamentals and tools
• Capability to create and execute performance test plans, including test scripts and data
• Expertise in establishing performance testing frameworks with persistent test data storage and trend analysis
• Experience with stubbing/mocking dependencies and creating backend performance scripts to test REST API/queries
• Capability to generate/procure test data and monitor the testing environment
• Experience in assisting development teams with performance issue identification and engaging in defect triage discussions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a start-up-like environment
• Proficiency in English, with a minimum of an Upper-Intermediate competency level for seamless communication with team members and clients

• Assessing the capacity, stability, and scalability of 3rd party applications pre-integration into our client’s system
• Crafting and executing performance test plans, including test scripts and data
• Establishing performance testing frameworks with persistent test data storage and trend analysis
• Developing backend performance scripts for testing REST API/queries, and generating/procuring test data
• Monitoring the testing environment and assisting development teams in identifying performance issues
• Engaging in defect triage discussions and challenging the development team’s priority perceptions
• Facilitating effective collaboration with other team members
