Description:
Following the creation of a brand new Surgical Day Case Unit, based at St Luke’s Hospital, we have opportunities for highly enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated Clinical Pharmacists to join our team at Bradford to deliver patient care to the Surgical Services.
As one of a number of new roles to the Trust, the post holder will be involved in identifying the areas in which pharmacy services can be provided to the patient attending the Surgical Day Case Unit, and demonstrating the difference made to patient care and patient outcomes by integrating clinical pharmacists into the multidisciplinary team. You will be supported by dedicated pharmacy technicians and medicines optimisation assistants in addition to the pharmacy teams in the surgical setting.
The Trust is investing in the provision of surgical care, and this new role will be integrated with the clinical team to ensure that the pharmacy team can make a difference to the patient experience.
The successful applicant will enjoy developing the pharmacy services provided to the Surgical Day Case Unit (primary role), whilst also having the opportunity to contribute to the provision of Surgical Services at the Bradford Royal Infirmary.
As a leader within the Trust, you will be expected to manage multiple priorities and deliver services in a variety of settings. The post holder will demonstrate the Trust Values in their daily working, while also making complex clinical decisions to better patient outcomes. You will be actively involved in ensuring the safe use of medications both in hospital and on discharge, and will be expected to take the lead in providing patient-centred medicines optimisation in this unit.
