The Role:
As the Lead Oncology/Haematology Pharmacist you are responsible for providing pharmaceutical services and leading all pharmacy clinical services for the care of haematology and oncology patients receiving treatment in the centre. What You’ll Do:

• Provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy and medicine management service to oncology and haematology patients and to ensure a consistent level of service in accordance with GenesisCare policies
• Provide expert advice, at a highly specialist level, on pharmaceutical matters in oncology
• Participate in the procurement, preparation, dispensing and distribution of medicines
• Provide clinical checking of chemo and final release to nursing staff.
• Line management of the centre pharmacy team

What You’ll Have:

Experience and skills:

• Dispensing medicines and experience of medicine management in a hospital setting
• Screening and checking systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions
• Electronic prescribing
• Experience of clinical audit and/or practice research
• Experience of the production, promotion, implementation and Monitoring of protocols

Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Registered with GPHC
• BSc Pharm or MPHARM
• One year’s preregistration training
• Further post-grad qualification in clinical pharmacy e.g. Clinical Diploma
• Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
• Member of BOPA
