Description:
We are seeking a Lead Technician to manage our Plaster Service in the Orthopaedic Outpatient Department.
Do you have experience of working and running a Plaster Service / Orthopaedic Outpatient Department and are able to help drive forward innovations and deliver high quality care to our patients?
If so, this may be the ideal role for you.
The role is looking for a confident individual with excellent communication skills and is keen to teach, support and develop staff. They will be expected to act as a role model, clearly demonstrating excellent clinical skills.
Responsible for managing the day to day clinical activities carried out in the Plaster room and Orthopaedic OPD.
Responsibility for shift management and ensuring appropriate staff and skill mix for the plaster service on a daily basis to ensure excellent delivery of patient care.
Act as a role model for junior members of the team in the delivery of high standards of care.
Manage complaints and queries from staff, patients and relatives.
Be professionally competent and credible within the role.
Deliver individualised direct patient care.
Deliver education to a wide range of staff in all aspects of wound prevention and management.
Work autonomously and as part of a team.
