What is a Solution Consultant?
Also known as a “Presales Consultant,” “Sales Consultant,” or “Sales Engineer”, our team is looking for curious candidates with a real passion for technology to join our Solution Engineering team for the Healthcare & Life Sciences Industry. We are deeply passionate about customer success, our technology, solutions, and our business. We deliver strategies and solutions that fuel growth by capturing the C-Suite’s mind share, budget, and wallet share in every account: accelerating new customers, growing big deals, and extending the platform.

Your role as Solution Consultant for the Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) Industry
The Solution Consulting team is organized into several smaller teams based on the products they are selling, or the industry/vertical they are selling into. In this case, we’re looking for someone to support the HLS industry team. This position has a focus on the Pharma or Provider sub-vertical.
We’re looking for a presales colleague preferably from the software industry and/or with pharma or provider consulting/customer background to support our Pre-Sales team. In this role you will support commercial customers mainly, but also enterprise accounts.

A typical day of a Solution Consultant consists of the following:

  • Liaise with your sales counterpart “on eye level” to develop new/existing business or account strategy.
  • Lead discovery sessions with your customers to understand/identify pain points as a basis to build an innovative solution based on the Salesforce technology stack.
  • Use your current business knowledge to identify specific industry challenges in terms of digitalisation.
  • Clearly articulate the benefits of Salesforce to customers at all levels, examples include; Administration/IT Staff, managers and “C” level executives.
  • Create memorable positive experiences for your customers, using empathy, storytelling, immersive demo techniques, etc.
  • Leverage your technical skills to build innovative art of the possible demo solutions and establish a trusted relationship with the technical stakeholders on the customer side.
  • Orchestrate an extended Solution Consulting team while building e.g. Multi-Cloud solutions for the customer.
  • Represent Salesforce during Marketing or Partner Events with specific Consultant knowledge (e.g. Industry demos, industry-specific discussions/use cases).Have a strong interest in growing your career and participating in our internal training programs and mentorship initiatives. Sharing your knowledge in the EMEA PreSales community.

  • This role is perfect for someone who likes to work with people, is able to think strategically, interested in technology / digitalisation, interested in continuous learning, and has an understanding of what challenges the HLS industry is facing today.

Required qualifications:

  • Good understanding of the unique business requirements of the pharma or provider sub-industry trends and “language”.
  • Ability to translate customers’ needs into a compelling vision and roadmap.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Track record of presales / solution engineering, consultancy, product management, delivery or training success for a software solution organisation. Pharma/provider sub-industry focus preferred.
  • Solid oral, written, presentation, communication and relationship skills.
  • Good and empathetic listener, laser-focused on customer success.
  • Proven time management skills in a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a distributed team to solve problems in dynamic, energizing environments.
  • Inquisitive, practical and passionate about technology.
  • Mindset of curiosity: likes to be the first to know something and why and how things happen.
  • Good at searching out information and experimenting, likes to concentrate on a particular topic and to solve puzzles.
  • Good at explaining ideas and finding ways to keep people’s attention.
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally.
  • Related Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.Fluent in German & English
