JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting, brand new role has emerged from our ambitions to enable our customer operations teams with automated processes, and we are currently searching for a Lead Process Automation Developer. This person will join our flagship product team - Optimize Spend, and will be reporting into the Development Manager. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing the automation of tasks, carried out by our Managed Service teams.
You will be working alongside the Managed Services teams to prioritize projects and define requirements, and will have the opportunity to contribute to our exciting plans to incorporate GenAI technology into our solutions.
The successful candidate will leverage their deep knowledge in automation software and passion for applying it to business processes to meet the strategic objectives of the business!
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience of RPA tools, ideally Automation Anywhere
- Strong proficiency in an industry standard programming language, ideally Java
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, version control systems, and agile practices
- Exposure to or interest in GenAI
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Time management skills; able to prioritize and multi-task; ability to clearly report status upwards
- Ability to author technical documents, including design specs
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test and maintain automation solutions, including RPA code and API calls to Optimize Spend.
- Participate in the full SDLC.
- Able to conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with latitude for independent judgment.
- Troubleshoot and debug software problems.
- Provide technical direction to a junior automation engineer.
- Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.
- Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of automated processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required.
