Production Lead
Where will you work: Onsite – K2, Esterhazy, Saskatchewan (Highway 22 Esterhazy, SK S0A 0X0)
The production lead will plan and direct production activities and resources to support the continuous operations of the wet area of the mill. Includes all facets of production coordination including product quality, safety, environmental, water management, energy management, steam management, railroad and raw material management. Support the design and implementation of process improvements or capital projects as needed. Help support employee scheduling process and assist with training needs. The position is a liaison between shift operations, day operations and maintenance.
What you’ll do?
- Ensure regulatory, corporate and site safety and environmental standards are being followed by conducting safety audits, risk assessments and housekeeping tours.
- Ensure all projects are evaluated to ensure that any hazards to workers, the public, the environment or the integrity of the physical plant, will be minimized through project design parameters.
- Challenges unsafe and/or environmentally harmful practices and seeks to create a safe work atmosphere and aid environmental awareness, protection and restoration.
- Demonstrates adherence to EHS policies and procedures.
- Work with operations and maintenance to develop and implement process improvements or capital projects that increase production, safety, quality, environmental, or water/energy management.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering personnel in order to provide timely response to planning directives.
- Enable implementation or incorporation of maintenance and engineering processes into production operations.
- Provide work direction to the team as well as timely and constructive feedback to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles, business goals and performance standards. Manage performance issues when necessary.
- Develop and coach employees in order to retain and grow organizational talent.
- Support employees in their career development at Mosaic.
- Continuously strive to improve existing facilities and seek best practices production methods.
- Direct production activities to maintain efficient operation of the wet area of the mill.
- Facilitate communication between job functions and departments to improve the plant efficiency, product quality, allocation of resources, safety and environmental.
- Provide accurate analytical data for decision-making.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelors Degree required, major in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- 1+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- Communications experience
- Leadership experience
- Managing Multiple Projects
- Operations experience
- Related Experience
