ABOUT THIS ROLE:

As the Strategic Initiative Lead, you will work hand-in-hand with the Senior Director Strategic Accounts to drive strategic initiatives, enhance organisational efficiency, and facilitate communication across departments. Strategic Accounts include large global partners such as McDonald’s, Subway and Burger King, as well as National players such as New York Pizza and BurgerVision.
Responsibilities include the build and delivery of complex cross-functional projects, providing executive advisory and support, analysing data to inform decision-making, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

THESE ARE SOME OF THE KEY INGREDIENTS TO THE ROLE:

  • Strategic Leadership: Serve as the ‘face & voice’ of the senior leadership team, driving global strategy implementation and pillar requirements throughout the organisation;
  • Chief of Staff Role: Act as a trusted advisor and soundboard for the Global Strategic Accounts Senior Director, providing day-to-day support (manage budgets, team performance, team operations) and overseeing pillar results and reporting;
  • Cross-functional Single Point of Contact: Act as a point of contact for cross-functional teams (Sales Strategy, Legal, Finance, Logistics, Heads of Strategic Accounts etc.), supporting initiatives such as target setting and cross-company strategies;
  • Strategic Project Delivery: Lead strategic initiatives (varying scale and complexity), develop new processes and frameworks, build business cases for funding, and drive projects to successful completion;
  • Capability Development: Drive pillar skill and knowledge development through enablement, playbook and masterclass delivery, aligned with business strategy and core metrics;
  • Vertical and Horizontal Communications: Facilitate cross-company communication, best practice sharing and knowledge management (e.g. QBRs, All Hands, Offsites etc.);
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, coach, and motivate a team of three project managers to deliver high impact programs such as the chains P&T roadmap, ThoughtSpot data tool adoption and chain communications program. Foster a high-performing environment by setting clear expectations, defining goals, and offering guidance and direction to ensure successful project outcomes and individual growth.
