We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time
Lead Recruiter for the Business Development Department
to enhance our Business Development Team and to join our international and dynamic Belgian unit.
Job purpose
We are actively seeking a dynamic professional to fill the role of Lead Recruiter for the Business Development Team. We are specifically looking for an individual with a good understanding of EU external aid procurement to be the reference point in the Business Development Department for recruitment.
You will be responsible for leading the team of Recruiters for the Business Development Department sourcing the right experts from all over the world to implement projects on Sustainable Energy, Climate change, Digital related services and Communication related areas. You will be required to demonstrate a combination of leadership, teamwork, discipline and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading, guiding and mentoring the team of recruiters in Business Development Department, supporting both units of the department (Technical Assistance and Framework Contract units)
  • Responsible for planning, delegating when necessary, and delivering recruitment-related tasks within the deadline for submission of a proposal
  • Being in a position to prioritize, shifting manpower and emphasis of the team for support where needed
  • Responsible for defining the best way to source experts: using social media (LinkedIn), expert recruitment boards, Stantec’s internal expert database, and personal networks
  • Evaluating the suitability of candidates in order to identify the most compliant and contributing to choosing the right experts in collaboration with your team
  • Collecting the necessary employment certificates and diplomas from the experts and cross-referencing with the information on the CV for the submission to the client.
  • Tailoring and formatting award-winning CVs
  • Establishing and growing a network of experts for further collaboration according to the core sectors that Stantec Be is focused on
  • Perform other administrative recruitment tasks as directed by the Business Development Director
  • Reporting to the Business Development Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requested profile

  • Academic background: A Bachelor’s degree. Masters degree in a field related to recruitment would be considered as a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in recruitment for technical assistance or framework contract projects .
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in leading and guiding multinational teams.
  • Knowledge of professional search engines such as Development Aid and LinkedIn.
  • Interest in environment/energy/climate change and similar technical areas.
  • Ability to synthesize and go through a vast amount of information.
  • Multitask personality, rigorous, with high attention to detail and strong work ethics.
  • Creative, communicative, open-minded and results oriented.
  • Languages: solid written and spoken English; French will be considered as an important asset.
  • IT-skills: advanced use of MS Office.
