Responsibilities:

Summary:
At SAP, we amplify the strength of AI technology, fusing it with our robust industry-focused data and profound process knowledge. Our vision is to infuse every SAP application with sophisticated AI capabilities, revolutionizing the way businesses operate. Large Language Models (LLMs) hold immense potential to change the way we work and develop products. They are reshaping the landscape of Machine Learning across various domains. However, their limited ability to leverage tabular data leaves a considerable share of enterprise data untapped. It is SAP’s mission to overcome this challenge within the realm of Business AI. Our goal is to adapt Foundation Models to SAP data, enabling our clients to solve their business processes more effectively.

The Role:

  • Unique opportunity to lead the area of data privacy for a newly established Foundation Model on structured business data.
  • Your primary objective is to identify and develop technical strategies to protect our confidential training data, with a particular focus on ensuring differential privacy. This includes scenarios such as unintended data extraction, leakage, or targeted attacks on trained models.
  • Design and implement innovative methodologies to ensure the highest level of data integrity and security, as well as adhering to the highest ethical and regulatory standards with the Foundation Model.
  • Define processes, methods, hypothesis, experiments and review results from the ground up with an understanding to put them together for an End-to-End Foundational Model.
  • Liaise with the legal department to ensure alignment between data privacy approaches and legal requirements.
  • Foster partnerships with academic institutions, promoting research collaborations and knowledge exchange in the field of data privacy.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in a revolutionary new data modality for Foundation Models and Generative AI.
