DESCRIPTION

Acts to promote the quality of patient care in the department and serves as a role model for professional respiratory therapist practice. Utilizes direct patient care experiences to lead staff in providing safe, effective delivery of care. Coordinates clinical activities of staff to contribute to regulatory compliance and continuity of patient care. The Lead position is contingent upon retaining ongoing conformance to the essential functions and responsibilities as outlined in the essential job duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited college, in the field of Respiratory Therapy.
• Coursework/Training: Training specific to area of assignment.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of experience in working in the following settings:
• Adult ICU.
• Emergency Department.
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Related Lead experience.
