Responsibilities:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant.

As part of the Business Management team within Control Management, this seasoned control professional will support our operations function. The candidate will partner with the rest of the Control Management organization to lead recurring and ad hoc activities, focusing on current state operations, gaps identification and remediation. As new processes and systems are brought into scope for frontline management, the candidate will support opportunities to streamline routines and enhance our processes and controls.

  • Execute ad hoc / targeted process review and challenge, focusing on assessing gaps and remediation plans as well as enhancement opportunities.
  • Provide day to day support as needed and drive key processes owned by the team, including but not limited to helping with the design and execution of the team operating model, maintenance of our book of work, governance and creation of performance indicators.
  • Support audit preparedness by reviewing quality of our documentation and operating procedures and working with accountable individuals to remediate identified gaps.
  • Partner with leaders to identify priorities and to implement mitigation strategies to address known operational gaps and deficiencies in an effective and timely manner.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders such as the program leads in Central Control, the analytic teams within the Business Group and Enterprise Function Control teams as well as the 2nd line of defense.
  • Implement new or change processes in a way that a sustainable for the team and deliver the highest value for the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics
  • Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported
  • Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line
  • Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling goals
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor
