Position: Lead Shopify Developer / Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview:
We’re seeking a highly skilled Lead Shopify Developer / Full Stack Engineer to shape the front and backend of our product. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Shopify website, customizing themes, implementing new features, and ensuring seamless integration with third-party applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Optimize website performance, with a 75% front end and 25% back end role split.
  • Develop and maintain the platform, making informed decisions on front and backend builds.
  • Collaborate with the Head of E-commerce to improve the development roadmap.
  • Customize Shopify themes, develop custom themes from scratch, and implement new features using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Integrate third-party applications and services, optimize websites for performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with project stakeholders.

Who you are:

  • Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS framework.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus, web development tools, responsive design principles, and mobile optimization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

  • FinTech experience is preferable.

This project is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with 3-8 years of experience to help build interfaces and simulators to enable robotic automation. You must be skilled in modern object-oriented C++ and have prior experience working close to hardware. The role will be hybrid, 1-2 days a week at their office in North Reading.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • 3+ years of programming with C/C++, Java, Rust or similar OO language
  • 1+ years of experience creating software which controls robots or other industrial automation equipment.
  • Experience in low-level firmware architecture, design and development, preferably for motion control.
