Description & Requirements
The Solution Consulting Leader grows, develops, and leads a team of pre-sales industry and solution experts. Focuses on customer pain points and delivering differentiated, industry-specific, value-based outcomes. Builds and coaches contribution-motivated, collaborative, and creative solution consultants to support business growth. Responsible for day-to-day presales operations, opportunity qualification, and partnership with sales on MEDDPICC. Applies creative destruction to challenge the status quo to drive innovation and growth. Partners cross-functionally to elevate the positioning of Infor solutions, including Infor’s differentiated Platform Technology and Digital Business Platform. Continuously challenges themselves and their team to learn and apply Principle Based Management and demonstrate our Values. Responsible for the Supervisor’s Responsibilities related to vision cascade, Infor’s Priorities, metrics & measures, employee development plans, and RREs (Role, Responsibilities, Expectations). Sets objectives, measures the performance of team members, and continually provides feedback to help team members grow and contribute. Applies economic thinking in all decision-making, including budgetary and P&L responsibility. Actively participates on the Strategic Solutions SC Leadership team.

A Day in the Life Typically Includes:

  • Demonstrates Infor Values in words and actions; continually challenges self and team to grow and apply Principle-based Management (PBM) in daily work, activities, and communications.
  • Helps to develop and implement organizational direction and strategic initiatives (i.e. Value-based customer engagements and applying Infor’s Platform Technology as a differentiator). Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives.
  • Responsible for understanding our customer’s strategic direction and offering a point-of-view around how Infor can add value to uniquely solve customer challenges.
  • Challenges the status quo to elevate pre-sales … skill sets, organization, roles and responsibilities.
  • Presents prospects and client use cases, highlighting the business benefits and technical advantages of Infor solutions.
  • Builds and applies industry and solution knowledge through a value lens, ensuring the customer’s needs are addressed.
  • Provides direction to Solution Consulting management team by applying economic thinking, to ensure effective utilization of appropriate company resources to create the greatest value.
  • Assists with developing and implementing go-to-market strategies for customers including net new prospects, with unique value propositions by customer segment.
  • Leverages experiences and relationships to reinforce sales reps, sales consultants and product marketing on industry trends, solution differentiators and value, and customer’s pain points.
  • Responsible for hiring and enablement of Solution Consultants.
  • Ensures the team develops and maintains the necessary industry, product and customer knowledge to operate effectively.
  • Sets performance targets and incentive plans for team members, aligned with Solution Consulting local vision and initiatives.
  • Support all direct reports in their customer/prospect discoveries, presentations, and demos.
  • Partners with early talent leaders and actively participate in training and mentorship.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with people leadership and development.
  • Experience influencing “C” level executives by developing deep cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience leading value-based customer engagements; applying value / positioning outcomes.
  • Experience coaching a team to apply differentiated Platform Technology / OS to business processes and customer personas; leverages data and outcomes tell stories and elevate value.
  • Public speaking, presentation, and written communication experience; experience tailoring messaging to a variety of business and technical personas at all levels of an organization.
  • Previous experience establishing relationships with customer/prospect senior management.
  • Previous experience collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading teams of Solution Consultants / presales.
  • Previous experience building a strong team and culture, aligned with principle-based management (PBM).
  • ERP experience.
  • MBA degree.
