Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Lead SQL Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall strategy, design, implementation, and management of SQL Server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of database administrators.
- Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and security.
- Experience with disaster recovery and high availability solutions
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SSIS for data warehousing and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for data and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of database administrators in all aspects of SQL Server administration.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-performance and scalable SQL Server databases.
- Perform regular database performance monitoring and optimization.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and high availability solutions.
- Manage user accounts, security permissions, and access controls.
- Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
- Implement and manage SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to create reports and dashboards.
- Use SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Microsoft SQL Server technologies and best practices.
- Document database designs, procedures, and processes.
- Participate in the development lifecycle, working closely with developers and business analysts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
