Description:

Overview:
The Lead Systems Administrator, Salesforce is responsible for the design, configuration, development, testing, documentation, and deployment of CRM solutions on the salesforce.com platform. The solutions encompass the sales and service clouds. The Senior System Administrator - Salesforce must possess good interpersonal skills as he/she will partner with business analysts, end users, and IT personnel to create and implement end to end solutions aligned with PowerSchool processes. As a key member of the Application Administration team, the Lead System Administrator will be a key player in enhancing how PowerSchool uses Salesforce. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

  • Responsible for the SFDC configurations and customizations needed to deliver the desired solution.
  • Perform administration of the Salesforce.com instance including managing fields/relationships, workflow rules, approval processes, page layouts, security, validation rules, email notifications, custom buttons/links, etc.
  • Develop or enhance custom objects, Visual Force pages, APEX classes, triggers and services, reports, dashboards, and workflows.
  • Work collaboratively across teams and/or independently to design and build solutions on the Salesforce.com platform, including Web Services APIs, Apex, and Visualforce.
  • Provide guidance on solution requirements, technical design, integration architecture, and solution recommendations.
  • Implement new enhancements including creation of custom objects, workflows, validation rules, approval processes, flows, flow triggers and email alerts.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other platforms
  • Implementations change control from development sandboxes to production and across the development lifecycle. Ensure that all necessary changes are documented, reviewed, tested, and approved before being deployed
  • Log and track identified system problems and work with Salesforce team through resolution
  • Implement and govern security related to profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing settings and login access policies
  • Understand all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to the Salesforce release upgrades.
  • Apply change management processes for documenting, communicating, and testing code releases from Sandboxes to Production environments.
  • Manage and configure Salesforce integrations, including custom integrations.
  • Proficient in Lightning Platform and capabilities.
  • Manage new user set-ups and deactivation
  • Implement and govern security related to profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing settings and login access policies
  • Research and stay current on security and maintenance related items by utilizing Trust.salesforce.com or other pertinent sites and or tools
  • Regularly audits data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintains updated system documentation and Salesforce policies/procedures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on items related to Salesforce.com, third party integrations, and AppExchange
  • Remain current on new Salesforce features and functionality and providing recommendations for process improvements
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field preferred
  • 4+ years experience in technical implementations of Salesforce CRM or similar role
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator required
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator desired
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer desired
  • Experience with CPQ systems, such as Salesforce CPQ required
  • Competent with Apex and Visualforce
  • Proven ability to independently perform development, testing, implementation, documentation and updates as it relates to the SalesForce.com software and system administration
  • Experience with FinancialForce a plus
  • Hands-on experience managing sales operations processes
  • Business Analyst experience a plus
  • Extensive experience with custom objects
  • Strong understanding of Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Builds relationships and works well across functions
  • Can work independently, as well as with a team
  • Good analytical skills and ability to distil salient points from large data
  • Ability to communicate and explain complex numbers across functions and levels of the organization
  • Possess a strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
