The Shared Services Technology Department is looking for a candidate to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, nimble and pragmatic individual to join our team as a test architect. As a tech architect within our team, you will be responsible for the overall test automation strategy, tools, technology, and process for Quality Engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Technical leadership & innovation for test strategy
  • Improve production stability via maturity in Quality Engineering practices
  • Promote best practices for Root Cause Analysis
  • Advance product quality via testing innovations and process improvement
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, BAs, Architects & Developers in designing testable applications
  • DevOps initiatives in collaboration with Development, Business & Testing partners
  • Advocate & implement appropriate industry trends (i.e. Chaos Engineering, Accessibility Testing, Low Code/No Code Automation, etc)
  • Promote and support implementation of CI/CT/CD pipeline
  • Develop & extend test automation frameworks for UI, Micro services, and API
  • Recommend new tools, techniques & methods for enhancing productivity
  • Conduct test design reviews & standardize automation code
  • Resolve technical issues, anticipate risks & ensure timely management escalation
  • Work with Test Capabilities Engineers to leverage existing assets and develop new ones
  • Analysis, optimization, improvement & maintenance of current test automation suites
  • Work with stakeholders to plan, estimate & implement test automation
  • Ensure compliance to automation framework, standards & best practices
  • Facilitate automated, on-demand test automation metrics
  • Understand , influence and direct testing for cloud journey
  • Automation first mindset and should be able to influence application architecture to test first philosophy
  • Deep understanding of Shift left testing practices increasing code coverage on change
  • Provide training and guidance to QA and development partners on best practices , tool and advanced automation techniques
  • Continuously optimize automated testing processes , frameworks and scripts for improved Test Cycle Time
  • Work with BA and Dev Partners to ensure availability of required test data for independent test script execution
  • Define and implement Continuous Testing pipeline and make sure effective and efficient usage of test automation scripts for ongoing releases

Required Technical & Project Experience

Must Have Skills :

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
  • 10+ years of software engineering & testing experience
  • Automation expertise including Lean FT, Selenium, Sikuli, TestNG,
  • Strong Core Java, SQL, Oracle, RESTful APIs
  • Variety of technologies: MQ, Kafka, Solace
  • Good knowledge of SDLC and Agile practices
  • Experience in multi-tiered, complex system design & architecture
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Positive & adaptable; multi-task in a continually changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and with a minimal team support.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with technical & business partners
  • Aptitude for understanding large, complex, multi-tiered enterprise architecture
  • Proficiency in test data and environment management
  • Strong proficiency in various open source/licensed tools and frameworks
  • Must have played Test Automation engineers, Architects roles in earlier assignments

Good to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Banking/Financial domain & Trading Lifecycle
  • Experience in Jira & Azure DevOps tools
  • Familiarity with cloud based testing
  • CA DevTest & Cucumber
  • Cloud Foundry experience
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes)
  • Variety of technologies: HTTPS, SFTP, HTML, JSP, XML, JSON, CSS.
