At IU, we are on the hunt for a skilled Lead UX Designer (m/f/d) to transform and elevate the user experience across our educational digital products – for our students, staff and content creators. We seek a visionary equipped with a profound understanding of user experience design and a strong capability for conceptual and structural innovation. This role demands a talent for empathetic design thinking and effective collaboration with stakeholders such as product managers and developers, aiming to craft seamless and intuitive user journeys. You take on a unique dual role, helping our students with the most intuitive user > learning journey in the market, while creating the most intuitive process flows for internal users of our education platforms, such as lecturers and administrators.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the UX Evolution: Spearhead the conceptual and structural development of IU Group’s education delivery platforms, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across student-facing-products, content creator tools and lecturer interfaces, and administrative systems for staff scheduling and study programs, all in alignment with our brand ethos.
  • Conceptualize User-Centric Designs: Develop comprehensive UX strategies that prioritize user needs and enhance user engagement across our customer facing and internal tech products.
  • Maintain Consistency and Accessibility: Ensure a unified user experience across various digital interfaces, focusing on usability and accessibility in line with our design system.
  • Prototype and Test for Usability: Create interactive prototypes and conduct rigorous usability testing to refine and validate UX concepts, iterating based on direct user feedback.
  • Bridge Teams with UX Insights: Act as the liaison among product and engineering teams, offering UX guidance, clarifying requirements, and ensuring the feasibility of designs throughout the product development cycle.
  • Shape Long-Term UX Strategies: Contribute to defining the long-term UX vision for our products, ensuring they meet business goals and user expectations.
  • UX Advocacy: Serve as a UX thought leader within the organization, addressing inquiries and challenges with informed, strategic insights.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep abreast of UX trends, tools, and best practices to continually infuse innovation into our UX processes.
