Description:
Delivers professional training and development programmes on a multidisciplinary basis involving a variety of training methods, media and styles tailored to suit staff audiences at all levels and across the Group. Facilitates and evaluate curriculum and bespoke training, learning and development events on planned programmes or in response to identified Divisional, Departmental/Team needs, as led by the leads for education and in discussion with the OD team. Deliver training to all staff groups with context tailored to be contextual to their work areas where required. This may include small and large group sessions, and will be required to meet the complexities needed for the learners to benefit and apply to their areas of work.
Undertake responsibility to complete the administrative duties associated with the provision of training, e.g. compiling registers, preparing materials/resources, following up non attendance, evaluation and ensuring systems are updated. These systems may differ on the 2 sites. Facilitation of sessions using innovative digital systems and programmes to offer a creative presentation that motivates and engages the learners, ensuring ease of access.
To discuss resources needed and ensure cost effective consideration in the purchase of any resources needed to support facilitation. Support organisational development and change management through responding to corporate initiatives with the production of training programmes and facilitated divisional and team development. Provide one-to-one support, coaching and feedback to learners in the workplace, reviewing competence, knowledge and understanding to meet required standards to ensure successful completion of learner programmes and modules. This may include exploring complex issues with confidentiality through a coaching relationship.
Contributes, as a facilitator, to the delivery of a range of in-house programmes, as requested by Senior Managers, on a regular basis. Produces appropriate training materials to support continual learning and development on a diverse range of leadership and management subjects, in response to newly identified needs. This role requires flexibility as to the delivery style and will involve both virtual and classroom delivery. In the event of a pandemic or major incident, the post holder may be asked to undertake other duties not necessarily commensurate to the banding of this role.
This could include duties in any part of the hospital. Prior to undertaking any duties, the member of staff will have full training and induction. No member of staff will be asked to undertake duties for which they are not competent or where they feel unsafe in their environment or could put patients or themselves at risk
