Job Summary

The role works with the Human Resources management team and internal clients to facilitate leadership and talent development activities that promote NAV CANADA’s evolving business strategy and culture. The focus of this role is to provide internal consulting and implement strategic initiatives that bring continuous improvements to talent management and leadership programs and practices within NAV CANADA.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders and leaders to build rapport as a trusted partner for leadership and talent development initiatives within the business.
  • Conduct research and analysis to develop strategies to further improve organizational effectiveness at NAV CANADA. Prepare proposals, reports and presentations on findings for senior and executive management.
  • Develop, implement and execute programs, strategies, tools and resources to support leaders in all aspects of performance management, succession management, and individual and team development.
  • Design, implement, and facilitate talent and leadership programs, services, offerings, and tools that support strategies and initiatives that help shape an organizational culture and are aligned with NAV CANADA’s business strategy.
  • Provide consultation services to identify and assess current state and future needs, and design processes and interventions. Provide guidance to leaders and partners on leading interventions and sessions.
  • Work with leaders to successfully enhance their practices and approaches.
  • Anticipate and respond to needs related to current and future competencies, in relevant working context including hybrid workplace

What you bring:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, OR a suitable combination of training and experience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the human resources function (prior experience as an HR Specialist within a similar organization is as an asset).
  • Experience in leadership & talent development, with progressive professional experience working in a Human Resources function, specifically in Leadership Development, Performance Management, Succession Management, or Organizational Development.
  • Experience with development, implementation and execution of HR strategies and programs.
  • Experience with diagnosis, solution development, proposal writing and client management.
  • Experience in analyzing data, identifying trends and making recommendations.
  • Experience in working with an HRIS.
  • Experience in leadership coaching, facilitation, and training.
  • Adult learning theory and evidence of using it to develop innovative development solutions.
  • The best/leading practice within well-established and/or changing cultures.
