ABOUT THE ROLE:
Foodies are a highly engaged community and our leaders are committed to being their best as leaders. As an organisation we’re committed to providing great development for all who work for us to reach their own potential.
As our Leadership & Teams Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role within our forward-thinking People & Capability (P&C) team. Reporting to the Head of Learning you will need to quickly become a trusted advisor and partner to our P&C team and senior leaders to support theirs and their team’s development. You’ll be supported by a large Learning Team who’ve been working in this exciting environment for a long time and by a passionate and trusting manager.
Anticipated organisational changes have been delayed and it is as important now as ever for Foodies to keep our leaders and teams engaged and thriving. Understanding, then championing and embodying the Foodies culture and values will be critical to success in this role.
TO QUICKLY ADD VALUE IN THIS ROLE AND THRIVE, YOU WILL NEED:
- To be able to demonstrate experience and success as a leadership and talent development partner in medium to large enterprises (retail or customer-focused environments preferred)
- A truly collaborative approach to working, with a knack for creative problem-solving and a proactive attitude towards learning and development and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- A passion for continuous learning and development and confidence to challenge others to grow and learn.
- Strong communication skills, an easy going but focused nature, and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, leaders and external partners.
- Experience facilitating and co-designing with external partners to deliver the solutions we need.
- Career development coaching in group workshop formats
- Team sessions facilitation experience (DISC an advantage)
- Leadership Development co-facilitation experience
- Coaching skills to be woven into senior leader conversations
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a century-old Co-operative on its journey towards continued success for another 100 years and to play a part in an exciting next part of the Co-ops history.
This is a fixed term contract (initially) through until the end of the year and includes a competitive salary package including a discount at our supermarkets, flexible working (in practice – not just on the job advert!) free parking, and birthday leave!
We recognise and celebrate diversity at FSNI, welcoming you to bring your whole self to work. So we look forward to hearing from you if you nodded your way all the way through what you’ve read and would like to be part of this journey.
