Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Lean Manufacturing Engineer will facilitate cross-functional teams to achieve breakthrough best-in-class performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost metrics.

HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

  • You will be an experienced, key change agent with a deep understanding of Lean fundamentals, methodologies, and tools, as well as Continuous Improvement principles
  • You will drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process optimization initiatives as well as driving cultural and behavioral changes that support a Lean transformation journey which enable our organization to achieve sustainable success
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, develop and implement action plans, and monitor progress towards achieving results
  • Conduct regular Gemba walks and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement and identify waste reduction opportunities on the shop floor
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and implementing strategies that drive ongoing process improvement and innovation
  • Analyze and evaluate business processes to find opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement
  • Facilitate the development of Hoshin Planning processes and aligning improvement activities with company goals
  • Define, design, and implement process improvement as part of the Johnson Controls Management System (JCMS), and ensure its integration and alignment vertically and horizontally across organization
  • Assist with developing and implementing Lean strategies and initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve efficiency across all areas of the organization
  • Assist with developing and implementing Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools, such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives with overall business strategy
