Description:
The Learning and Development Advisor works within a collaborative team environment and is responsible to support the implementation and administration of programs and services for our competitive, leading edge and high-quality educational courses and programs. The Learning and Development Advisor plays a lead role between faculty, contractors, students and internal and external RRU stakeholders. The Learning and Development Advisor supports the overall vision and contributions of the Professional and Continuing Studies unit by supporting development and delivery of programs and providing personalized follow up with students, faculty and clients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
- Degree in a relevant field and at least 5-7 years of experience in the areas of international education, client-centered service delivery, program development and administration; or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Knowledge and understanding of adult education requirements, principals, methods and processes
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the analysis, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of learning and development opportunities for adults
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including presentation skills, technical writing skills and learning technology trends and issues
- Ability to operate in an environment of deadlines and multiple priorities
- Strong diplomatic skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to liaise effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally, and maintain a professional approach to working relationships and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Advanced computer skills (including MS Office Suite, Learning Management Systems, SharePoint, Social Media)
- Ability to work in a creative and driven, team-based, collaborative environment
- Previous experience in international education within an academic organization would be considered an asset
Additional Information
This is a temporary, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at MPT-C with a salary range of $74,204 (minimum) to $87,204 (midpoint) to $100,203 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
