We’re in search of a dynamic and seasoned Learning & Development Advisor to join our L&D Team on a maximum-term basis, filling in for parental leave until mid-2025. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the momentum of our organisation’s crucial learning initiatives.

What you’ll be doing
This is a multi-faceted role, where no two days are the same. You’ll thrive in a fast-moving, fluid environment, and be passionate about supporting teams to scale effectively.

You’ll have the support of internal resources, access to subject matter experts and will play a pivotal role to help deliver effective learning programs and support.

  • Maintain all components of Newcastle Anglican’s Learner Manager System (Litmos), including content authoring, learning system architecture, mapping processes, record keeping, reporting and evaluation.
  • Coordination and support of early careers programs, including, work experience and vocational/ tertiary placements, and traineeship programs.
  • Instructional design and development of e-learning modules and webinars.
  • Development and distribution of periodic and ad-hoc reporting on learning metrics and compliance as required by key stakeholders.
  • You’ll use your critical thinking skills to pre-empt, identify and make recommendations for stakeholder support, answer enquiries and present learning solutions that support continuous improvement and service delivery.

What we’re looking for

  • You will have had exposure to building, delivering, and facilitating learning experiences that engage and build capability for a broad range of cohorts targeting frontline employees up to senior leader.
  • 3+ years’ experience within a Learning and or Organisational Development function, ideally in a diverse, large matrixed organisation
  • Understanding and application of adult learning principles in development of learning programs
  • Experience in managing and supporting stakeholders or portfolios to support service delivery.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Administrator experience with a Learning Management System such as Litmos or Success Factors
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of learning authoring tools (e.g.: Articulate 360)
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment or working towards
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Check or willingness to undertake.
  • Willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
  • Current drivers’ licence
