The Abbott Diabetes Care division based in Donegal Town manufactures FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre system.

EDUCATION LEVEL

A third level qualification in a Learning & Development, HR or business related field is desirable.

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a Learning & Development or HR environment with an emphasis on Learning and Development.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

Reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for design, implementation and evaluation of best in class practical learning solutions to support employees to develop skills, knowledge and capabilities enabling the organisation to constantly evolve and develop.
On a macro level, understanding the ADC Donegal strategy and its future capability needs in order to identify learning priorities across the organisation.
On an individual level, it’s about creating learning environments where employees can continuously develop to be their best.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs and create comprehensive learning programs that cater to a diverse workforce;
  • Conduct capability assessments/learning needs analysis across the organisation;
  • Use industry-standard tools to identify performance gaps, design and facilitate targeted interventions;
  • Design blended learning solutions based on adult learning theories for example, digital, face to face, social collaborative learning, coaching.
  • Develop change programs that address skill gaps, considering associated metrics;
  • Nurture a learning and coaching culture;
  • Monitor how effectively learning has been transferred to employees.
  • Research and assess emerging techniques and technologies to support innovative learning and development strategy and factory of the future.
