Description:

Our client in the Manufacturing industry is recruiting for a “Learning and Development Specialist”.

Main Purpose:

  • Enhancing the skills, knowledge and professional development of employees within the Company.
  • With a strong background in instructional design, facilitation and adult learning principles they are required to collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training needs, design effective learning programmes and deliver engaging training sessions to foster continuous learning and development.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify gaps in skills and knowledge. Collaborate with departmental heads and HR to understand Company goals and align learning initiatives accordingly.
  • Develop and update curriculum based on identified needs and industry best practices. Design and create engaging learning materials, e-Learning modules, workshops and other resources.
  • Implement assessment strategies to measure the effectiveness of training programmes.
  • Manage multiple learning projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior member of the L&D teams.
  • Share expertise and best practices to contribute to the team’s overall development.
  • Monitor all aspects of the Government’s Skills Levy programme ensuring the Company complies with all the requirements laid down by the Government and optimising rebates, or refunds available to the Company.

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Relevant Degree / Qualification
  • Proven experience as a L&D Facilitator with at least 5 years in a senior role.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in e-Learning authoring tools and learning management systems.
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
