We are searching for a full-time Learning & Development Specialist to join our growing firm! REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, industrial/organizational psychology, or other learning related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in learning and development, education, human resources, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, & Teams)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Passion to continuously learn, unlearn and relearn

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in education, instructional design, industrial/organizational psychology, or other learning related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in learning and development at an accounting firm
  • Experience with NASBA, New Jersey, & New York Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs
  • Experience maintaining a learning management system
  • Experience with the following technologies: LCvista, Prolaera, Conferences i/o, Asana, or other learning technologies

Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end administrative support for over 200 classes per year, including managing course invitations, course reminders, distribution of course materials, tracking attendance, scheduling conference rooms, monitoring attendance, sending course evaluations, issuing continuing professional education (CPE) credits, etc.
  • Manage employee user accounts for all L&D applications for the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding (activating accounts, assignment of regulators, importing of CPE records, learning tracks, classes, and anti-sexual harassment training), regular maintenance for compliance with CPE/State/Federal/QC requirements, and termination (deactivating accounts, transferring of CPE records to former employee as appropriate).
  • Assist the Director of L&D in course development meetings with internal subject matter experts on course topics, instructional delivery, learning objectives, in-class activities and course material, in compliance with NASBA, New York, New Jersey CPE requirements
  • Facilitate live training courses by displaying slide deck presentations, disseminating course materials, launching poll questions, managing breakout rooms, and troubleshooting IT technical difficulties as needed.
  • Accurately enter internal and external certificates of completion from courses attended by the professional staff into the firm’s learning management system within 5 business days of the event, or when proof of attendance is received.
  • Schedule and present a L&D Overview for all new hires, including entering previously earned CPE certificates into the LMS.
  • Follow-up with instructors to ensure course materials have been received and are prepared in accordance with NASBA, New York, New Jersey CPE standards.
  • Assist with proofreading and editing course materials for basic formatting, grammar, spelling, punctuation, dates, etc.
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure proper classroom setup is achieved for onsite and hybrid courses.
  • Maintain files of course materials in digital format, in compliance with the retention regulations of NASBA, New York, and New Jersey CPE.
  • Register all interested professionals for Becker CPA Exam Preparation, working closely with Becker CPA.
  • Manage tuition reimbursement process, including tracking progress through degree programs, ensuring adherence to firm policy for receiving reimbursement, and initiating approvals for reimbursement.
  • Coordinate with the Director of L&D to ensure all professional staff fulfill their annual CPE requirements.
  • Manage the training inbox, responding to all questions or escalating to the Director of L&D as appropriate.
