Description:
We are looking for a Learning & Development Manager to spearhead an industry-leading agenda at our Nuneaton manufacturing site. This person will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our team is safely creating the best possible snacks, upholding the reputation of our brands - Eat Real and PROPER. We’ve got big ambitions, to be the most exciting and fastest-growing snacks company, and we won’t get there without a brilliant, high-performing team, supported by an exceptional L&D Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience of working in a learning and development role.
- Food manufacturing experience would be helpful – although we will consider other manufacturing backgrounds.
- Experience in building and implementing L&D plan.
- Able to deliver training at all levels.
- Experience of successfully using a wide range of delivery methods.
- Highly organised, able to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
- CIPD Level 3 course in Learning and Development Practice (Desirable)
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and learning management systems (LMS) for content development and delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- The ability to engage at all levels is paramount.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and build a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
As the L&D Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive L&D programs tailored to the specific needs of our site-based teams. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the site and, crucially, with our Head of Manufacturing to identify gaps, develop materials, and facilitate engaging sessions. Additionally, you will lead on the development of an L&D plan for the Nuneaton site and support wider WARP L&D activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing L&D team.
- Assess needs and develop plans aligned with business objectives.
- Design (with support from our site Technical Team) and deliver engaging programs for production teams, covering areas such as food safety, quality standards, equipment operation, and process optimisation.
- Create and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, and interactive modules, ensuring content is up-to-date and relevant.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops, to ensure consistent skill development and knowledge transfer.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback mechanisms and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on training-related matters, providing guidance and support as needed, and promote any continuous improvement throughout.
