Vibright are excited to be partnering with a well known player within the FMCG space, based in London, with multiple sites across the UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join their People team, as the ‘Learning & Development Manager’ for one arm of this ambitious and ever-growing business.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU….

Ideally the successful candidate will have the following attributes, skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • You have a wealth of L&D skills knowledge and experience, covering the entire life cycle - which you may have collected in another sector or large organisation - and you are now ready to build something (pretty much from scratch)
  • You have a start up mentality, it’s all hands to the pump and you don’t mind getting your hands dirty!
  • Willingness to travel across company sites when required
  • You are a proven relationship builder who can engage and navigate people at all levels from all walks of life.
  • You are open to working within a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience of managing, inspiring and motivating teams
  • Willingness to travel across company sites when required
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) across different personality types and departments
  • Ability to see the bigger picture of how people and culture fit into the company’s overall business strategy and goals
  • Excellent project management experience and skills, including planning, stakeholder management, task management, communications etc
  • Relationship builder who creates partnerships based on trust and collaboration
  • Experience of using /creating digital learning content and psychometric and profiling analysis
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownershipCIPD qualification would be beneficial, however not essential.

Responsibilities:

This role is pivotal to the overall success of our clients Group People Strategy. This role is perfect for someone who has a wealth of L&D knowledge who wants to make an impact and build something. You will have experience having led a team. The role most of the time can be completed remotely and can be based at any of our offices across Devon and Somerset on a hybrid working basis, however due to the nature of the duties and to support all our team, flexibility will be required to travel to all our locations in the Southwest.

Here is a snapshot of what you will be responsible for:

  • As part of the management team you will support the development and execution of People strategy
  • The business has a 1 year plan, full of ‘business firsts’ and this role is imperative t the successful delivery of this strategy
  • Leading, developing and growing the current team of 4 L&D partners
  • This role is a hands on, all encompassing role that will take you from operational training delivering, to leadership coaching to strategic conversations, all in one day!
  • Support and coach managers in implementing People Development plans.
  • Responsible for the full lifecycle of L&D across the production and manufacturing arm of the business
  • Oversee a range of training initiatives, ensuring a measurable ROI
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps and training needs across various teams, including support team, production, quality and safety.
  • Design and deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules to enhance employee skills and knowledge in areas such as food safety, quality assurance, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and partner on a variety of projects to deliver the strategy; Partner with internal and external SMEs to deliver a variety of topical learning covering SOPs, functional and behavioural skills
  • Own the Learning Management System, create automated processes that build scalable measurement practices. Design and deliver engaging online interventions utilising authoring tools and best practice
  • Create a network of skilled trainers in production and build the associated development and quality assurance programme that supports operational excellence
