Description:
Job Purpose and Impact
The Learning and Development Specialist will help develop, implement and evaluate training and talent development activities. In this role, you will collaborate to create training curriculum and materials, select appropriate delivery methods and monitor training effectiveness for the general workforce and for targeted discipline and technical areas. Key Accountabilities
Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
Plan, develop and conduct training and staff development programs, with feedback from senior colleagues.
Help plan, administer and review activities regarding recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, mobility, talent acquisition, diversity, talent management and organization development and labor relations.
Collaborate with supervisor to prepare training budget for department or organization.
Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
Collaborates with the business or functional teams to understand existing and new training content and update as needed to ensure accurate materials are available.
Develop and produce reports to measure post learning knowledge, retention and behavioral outcomes and follows up with participants when necessary.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
