Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified RNMH or RNLD to join inpatient services within the Learning Disability Division in Swansea Bay UHB. As a RNMH/RNLD you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of high quality individualised care to persons with complex learning disabilities.
Each candidate will undergo a preceptorship programme as part of their initial introduction into the role of a registered nurse with further opportunities for learning and development as part of the Health Boards personal and professional development framework.
Services for persons with LD are commissioned by Swansea Bay to include services delivered within the Cardiff & Vale and Cwm Taff Bro Morgannwg footprint.
Learning Disability Services across the 3 HB areas are undergoing a programme of modernisation and so this is an exciting time to join the service and be part of the modernisation journey.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post.

Show respect for others’ views and appreciate others’ inputs and encourage colleagues to display our values.
Motivated to use initiative to recognise problems and seek solutions whilst understanding the importance of empowering and enabling others (patients, families, colleagues).
Friendly and helpful disposition, awareness of how our own and others’ behaviours impact on people’s experiences and the organisation’s reputation.
Willing to seek out learning, give and accept constructive feedback and committed to continuous improvement.
