Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
This role’s primary function is to
- Oversee the day-to-day management of training events within Youth Justice’s Learning Management System - eg scheduling events, establishing class lists, recording attendance and completions.
- Provide advice and support to staff around the training calendar, course logistics and attendance.
The role is based at Yasmar Training Centre in Haberfield with the opportunity to balance time in the office with working from home. You will be required to be in the office at least several days a week.
Youth Justice NSW works with Young Offenders in both community and custodial settings with the aim to rehabilitate them and reduce the risk of them reoffending. By doing this we help to build safer communities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This role reports to the Manager eLearning and Records and:
- Provide high level clerical and administrative support and services for Yasmar Training Centre and staff at all levels, including communicating with staff, trainers, vendors and contractors.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Division’s Learning Management system including system reporting ensuring that it captures all authorised training activities, attendance and outcomes so that it is the authoritative record of YJNSW Training.
- Be the primary point of contact for calendar and course logistics inquiries in terms of physical dates and arrangements for courses and the maintenance of records, attendance sheets and the operational training calendar.
- Track and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence related to the Unit’s training and development work and determine action or referral in accordance with office procedure.
- Maintain the unit’s records, systems and databases, record data and file to ensure that all documentation is securely stored and readily accessed.
- Provide word-processing and data entry services and draft correspondence, such as, letters, memoranda, agenda, minutes, briefing notes, reports and related documentation on behalf of the manager and unit, in line with departmental approved style guidelines including retrieving and collating complex documents and information.
- Support the coordination of various development & training projects and undertake research and analysis.
- Interpret and comply with work procedures, practices, policy and standards.
