Responsibilities:

  • Engage with key stakeholders across the pillars to determine the learning needs ensuring alignment to the business strategies.
  • Leverage data to identify learning and development trends and develop solutions that work (e.g. development plans, employee engagement data)
  • Deliver on the agreed strategy working with key stakeholders
  • Evolve the Retail Training Academy for both the Food and Liquor Pillars, addressing Retailer and Metcash needs and building capability in Retail Excellence and compliance. In addition, develop the LMS to be a contemporary platform that is leveraged across the retailer network.
  • Work with the broader learning community including the Group Leadership, Learning & Development teams, sharing learning needs that are specific for the pillar, leveraging resources from the centre as required to ensure alignment of learning frameworks, programs and the LMS
  • Facilitation of workshops either face to face or virtually as required
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders within Metcash & our Retailer network to identify and develop/procure solutions for the learning and development needs

  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Proven track record in developing and deploying learning solutions that build sustainable capability
  • Strong facilitation skills & approachable style

  • Experience working in matrix organisation
  • Strategic thinker with a practical approach
  • Awareness of emerging trends and best practices in Learning and Development (L&D)
  • Degree qualification in HR or a related business field is desirable
