Derby College Group (DCG) are looking for a Learning Support Trainer to join our Student Experience and Pastoral team. In this role, you will work in a thriving and progressive team, supporting a range of neurodiverse students across DCG’s fantastic campuses. You will be key in facilitating a safe and welcoming inclusive learning environment, in the college’s Base-Rooms. These spaces are a hive of activity, where students can access support to reach their potential at DCG.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To work in a non-teaching capacity, supporting students presenting with learning support requirements in any location across DCG outside of the classroom, which includes delivering one to one and small group coaching sessions
  • Managing the daily operations of the Learning Support Base Rooms
  • Providing a student-centred approach to identifying support needs and completing student support plans
  • Act as a Mental Health First Aider supporting students with their wellbeing
