JOB DESCRIPTION- FULL TIME
The School of Liberal Arts in the College of Arts & Cultural Studies is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Professor in History and Humanities to begin Fall 2024. REQUIREMENTS
- Have a demonstrated history of or potential for successful and excellent teaching and student engagement
- Hold a terminal degree in History, Humanities, or closely related field
- Demonstrate integrated faith in the classroom, the church, and community
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Teach 24-25 hours of History and Humanities courses for both major and general education students
- Advise History majors
- Assist in the oversight of general education curriculum development
- Connect students with and review internship opportunities
- Engage in scholarly research, presentations, and publications and in professional development activities
- Be involved in university activities such as faculty meetings, committee meetings, retreats, and chapel services
