MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Honours in Information Systems/ Computer Science

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR CLOUD DEVELOPMENT LECTURER:

  • Lecturing experience in programming/database.
  • Familiar with use of T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of the following concepts:
  • Designing scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
  • Self-healing and redundancy
  • Coordination and Scalability
  • Partitioning and operations
  • Applying different types of cloud storage to build, host, and scale applications in datacentres.
  • Analysing business case scenarios with the purpose of presenting the most appropriate cloud service/solution.
  • Cloud application architecture styles.
  • Hosting Models In the cloud.
  • Cloud application deployment
  • Resilience
  • Testing
  • Monitoring and diagnostics
  • Evaluating cloud security.
  • Cloud Platforms i.e., Microsoft Azure, Amazon web services
  • NoSQL database technologies i.e., MongoDB, Google Firebase
  • Application program interfaces
  • Git and GitHub
  • Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/ cloud engineer/ programmer.
  • The candidate must have worked within the tertiary institution so that they understand what students will experience of tertiary institutions and what is expected from them.
  • The candidate must have a solid understanding of academic skills and how to assist the students to incorporate these skills into their studies.
