Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic lecturer who will contribute to the education, research, and future development of the BA (Hons) Craft course. Embracing the course philosophy of material-led, experimental approaches to thinking through making, the role will involve working across UG and PG courses to shape contemporary Craft curriculum, fostering international collaboration and delivering an outstanding student experience through contemporary project briefs. The successful candidate will support students to develop personal creative agendas which contribute positively to the future of the field of contemporary craft and the communities they inhabit.
Candidates should have teaching experience and a passion for education agendas, alongside a national or international profile in a specific object making and/or wearables craft practice, and possess comprehensive knowledge and understanding of a wide range of craft practices across the subject area. An awareness of contemporary issues related to the role of Craft in social and sustainability contexts is essential, and a familiarity with Craft-specific Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software would be desirable.
