Description:
Lecture and assess contact learning and distance learning students in the HCert (Preschool Education), BEd (Foundation Phase Studies) and BEd (Intermediate Phase) programmes in the following modules:
English For Teachers (EFT100)
English First Additional Language 1 (EFA100)
English First Additional Language for Foundation Phase 2 (EFAF200)
English First Additional Language for Intermediate Phase 2 (EFAI200)
English Home Language for Foundation Phase 2 (EHLF200)
Teaching Home Language English (THLE201)
Teaching English First Additional Language (TEFA202)
English Home Language for Intermediate Phase 2 (EHLI300)

Responsibilities:
Compile teaching, learning, and assessment materials.
Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules.
Participate in relevant programme, curriculum, and material development.
Carry out allocated internal moderation responsibilities.
Carry out invigilation of venue-based assessments as reasonably required by the Registrar’s Office.
Participate in school-based teaching practice assessments.
Provide academic support to students.
Complete all quality assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes.
Participate in research and community engagement projects.
Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management.
Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs.
Participate in and attend meetings and workshops.
Fulfil functions on relevant committees, and in meetings and workshops as reasonably requested by management.
Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager.
