THE IIE VARSITY COLLEGE, SANDTON CAMPUS HAS A VACANCY FOR A LECTURER IN THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION, FOR THE FOLLOWING MODULES:

• Various Modules in Foundation Phase Teaching

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of a 4-year BEd degree (either in Foundation Phase Teaching OR Intermediate Phase Teaching) + an Honours (BEd Hons) OR Humanities/Arts/Social Science Honours OR Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8).
• The Undergraduate qualification OR the Honours OR The Postgraduate Teaching Diploma (NQF 8) must include a module on Teaching and Learning/Pedagogy. The Undergraduate qualification OR The Postgraduate qualification must include component subjects to at least NQF level 6 (preferably up to NQF level 7) – English, Children’s Literature, OR English as a major (NQF7).

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• School teaching experience in component subjects is required.
• Ideally, lecturing experience at tertiary level.
• Training & Development: 3 years (Required)
• Teaching: 3 years (Required)
