Description:

In our Interactive Media (Games and Animation) department we currently have an exciting opportunity as we are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient individual to join our team as Lecturer/Assistant Professor.

This position is a teaching position involving planning and delivering lectures, in addition to assessments, and contributing to the development of the programme with the rest of the team. We have game and animation related subjects as well as more theoretical and design-based topics.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on assignments submitted by Interactive Media Students.
  • Engage with students through our communications platform, offering guidance and support to facilitate their learning experience.
  • Collaborate with the Interactive Media department to develop the programme with new technology and processes that are closely tied to industry.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Games/Animation/Media for Lecturer. Related Masters degree for Assistant Professor.
  • Professional experience as an Animator or Game developer, or other experience as an digital artist.
  • Experience with Maya, Unreal/Unity, and the Adobe suite.
  • Passion for 3D Digital Art, Games, or related topics.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent academic writing skills.
  • Creative.
  • Knows how to prioritize tasks and manage delivery deadlines.

It’s a big plus if the candidate has experience in

  • Visual FX for Games and Animation.
  • 2D Animation.
  • Character design
  • Video editing, streaming, and online content production.
  • Teaching and pedagogy.
  • An interest in research and live project work
