Lecturer for the Language and Communication Centre

The School of Humanities (SoH), NTU invites applications for Lecturer positions in the Language and Communication Centre. A dynamic hub of research excellence, the School of Humanities provides a rigorous and holistic education to develop students into well-rounded individuals who are able to think critically and articulate their ideas clearly and confidently.
The Language and Communication Centre in SoH offers communication courses to undergraduate and graduate students across the university, particularly in the disciplines of engineering, the humanities, sciences, and social sciences.
Requirements
The School of Humanities seeks to fill 3 Lecturer positions in the Language and Communication Centre. Successful candidates will be expected to teach academic writing and communication skills, and to conduct research.

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

  • PhD in Applied Linguistics, English for Academic Purposes, Linguistics, Education, Literature, or Rhetoric and Composition
  • Degrees in the Sciences and Engineering will be considered if the candidate can show evidence of research in disciplinary communication skills
  • Experience in teaching academic and/or discipline-specific writing
  • Interest in new media and digital literacy is a plus
  • An active research agenda
