Grant writing and lecturing are both expectations of the role, both as an individual but also in collaboration with wider teams with the Research Group and the School.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to join Bristol’s thriving Digital Health research group, as a core-funded lecturer on Bristol’s academic pathway 1 (teaching and research).
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- You will be co-leading on computer vision in the new £7.7M EPSRC-funded “TORUS” Programme Grant, where cameras and machine learning at the edge will be characterising symptoms of Parkinsons Disease.
- You will also be a key contributor both to the new LEAP Digital Health Hub (£4M) and the CDT in Digital Health & Care (£8.2M), both of which have internal funding available.
- Teaching duties will include delivering a unit (module) in the MSc Digital Health degree programme.
- As an expert in machine learning and computer vision, the successful applicant will likely make contributions to other teaching in the School’s portfolio of degree programmes.
