This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated lecturer with specialist global health and development interests to join the team at the Institute for Global Health and Development.
The post holder will contribute to the organisation, delivery, and leadership of IGHD MSc programmes. We are looking for a lecturer with specialist expertise and methodological knowledge within global health and development, specifically in the areas of gender, sexual and reproductive health and rights. Experience and a teaching qualification, such as a Fellowship of Advance HE (FHEA) or Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, is desirable.
The role is in recognition of the recent growth in our MSc programmes in IGHD, including our four on-campus programmes in Global Health, Applied Global Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, and the development of three new online MSc programmes in Global Health, Public Health and Healthcare Management.
As a Lecturer, your responsibilities will focus on supporting the online and face to face MSc programmes in IGHD, including curriculum development, the delivery of modules, student assessment and student support.
The successful candidate will also hold active research or practice interests linked with the Institute’s research clusters focused on health systems or psychosocial wellbeing, integration and protection, particularly research topics related to gender and sexual and reproductive health. You will engage in supervision of doctoral candidates working on issues related to your interests.
