Description:
BACKGROUND
We are seeking to appoint one new outstanding Lecturer in Psychology who has academic, teaching and research experience in Cognitive or Social Neuroscience, and/or Differential Psychology and who can make a significant contribution to our educational activities. This is a one-year, temporary (1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025), and part-time (0.7 FTE) position. We are a thriving, research intensive department that delivers high standards of teaching through innovative pedagogy. We are proud to be ranked within the top 3 Psychology Departments in London in the recent NSS.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will primarily be expected to contribute to taught modules of our undergraduate programmes in Psychology and Psychology with Criminology (in particular, modules on Biological Psychology and Personality and Differential Psychology) and of our MSc in Clinical, Social and Cognitive Neuroscience (in particular, modules on Social Cognition and Social Neuroscience). In addition, the successful candidate will perform the role of personal tutor to students, supervise dissertations, contribute to departmental administrative duties, and contribute to team, departmental and wider school events and meetings.
