Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi is a vibrant and exciting tertiary education institution, which offers a range of programmes from certificates to doctorates, across a range of disciplines.
We are seeking one full time or two part time Lecturers to deliver 8 or 4 cohorts of our Te Waharoa ki te Reo (Adult Community Education) programme in a year. Candidates can be located in Auckland (Tāmaki Campus) or Whakatāne Campus to deliver client site based or online cohorts OR location can be negotiated for online delivery.
This is a foundation level Te Reo Māori programme tailored to meet the specific entry level learning needs of our corporate clients with some based in Tāmaki (Auckland) with both onsite or online delivery requirements and other clients based outside of Auckland with online requirements. For each cohort you will deliver a scheduled 2-hour weekly lesson, support learning through face to face and/or online delivery, and mentor students.

Our successful applicants will have:

• A minimum of a diploma in Te Reo Māori.
• A teaching qualification, preferable adult teaching
• Experience delivering foundation level Te Reo Māori to adult learners.
• Experience in online delivery and reliable internet access.
• Te Reo Māori proficiency at intermediate level, advanced preferred.
• A full clean driver’s licence.
