ABOUT YOU (KEY REQUIREMENTS)

The post holder(s) must be knowledgeable (both generally and in any specific area) about the economics of project management and passionate and enthusiastic about teaching. The post holder(s) will prepare and deliver appropriate teaching material, including regular tutorials and seminars, as part of the delivery of the relevant module requirements. The successful applicant will be expected to lead or co-lead construction economics focused modules across our postgraduate taught (PGT) or undergraduate programmes; develop and deliver relevant teaching material; contribute to curriculum development; prepare classes and teaching materials; set and marking of assignments.
The post holder will also be expected to invest time in scholarship, professional development and research to underpin research-based education in areas that span sustainable construction, and other relevant fields, and, to engage in continuing professional development.
The appointee is required to have a PhD in a relevant field, and experience of research or teaching in a related discipline, and an established track record of teaching at PGT and undergraduate level including the design and management of modules in higher education.

Responsibilities:

University College London (UCL) wishes to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching) in Economics of Project Management. The post holder will be based at The Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction at the Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, a world-leading faculty ranked #1 in the world for Built Environment studies and #1 in the UK for its research environment. The post holder will carry out teaching, research, and programme administration within the Bartlett School of Sustainable Construction, in the field of Economics of Project Management, consistent with the vision and mission of The School. This is a fixed term contract for to cover maternity leave. Applicants are expected to join us on or before 1 September 2024.
