The UCL Institute for Global Health (IGH) is at the heart of UCL’s Grand Challenge of Global Health. The Institute’s vision is for a world where international policy on global health is informed by world class research. IGH aims to support the development of robust solutions to aspects of the world’s major global health challenges through scholarly outputs, education, public engagement, translational research and ultimately by influencing public policy and professional practice. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer (teaching) to join the Education team. The Institute’s postgraduate programme includes an MSc Global Health and Development, an MSc Health Economics and Decision Science, an MSc Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology and a PhD programme. Medical students are also taught by IGH staff as part of their fourth year MBBS programme.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The post holder will be responsible for co-leading the MSc in Global Health and Development, coordinating established modules and supporting iBSc and MSc students through their dissertations. Additionally, they would be expected to teach lectures and tutorials for postgraduate and undergraduate students across other related modules in collaboration with other tutors. This is a full-time maternity cover post and is available for 12 months from September 2024.
