Description:
Waterstone Law Group LLP, is a full-service law firm with offices in Chilliwack, Abbotsford and Langley, proudly celebrating 30 years of service to clients in the Fraser Valley.
Waterstone is in search of a Floating Legal Assistant to join our Chilliwack office. This full-time, in-office position requires someone with energy, enthusiasm and a keen eye for detail who is interested in participating in a number of different practice areas.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide legal assistant support to lawyers during staff absences
- Provide overflow support to practice teams during busy periods
- Interacting with management, legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers, and clients
- Document production and assembly, file and calendar management and maintenance
- Provide backup support for reception and office services
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of legal assistant experience in British Columbia
- Legal Administrative Assistant certification from an accredited institution
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and document management)
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and manage time efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly dependable, and adaptable with a great work ethic and strong attention to detail
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
