We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the Legal Department of our Lendcare subsidiary!

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have prior work experience in an office environment, legal background an asset
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to adapt to company software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and manage time efficiently
  • Very strong organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to speak French is a strong asset, but not mandatory
  • Fulltime, permanent availablity to work in our Pickering, ON office

Responsibilities:

  • Administer a large volume of notices and correspondence to customers and related incoming and outgoing mail
  • Open, organize and maintain legal files
  • Manage the departments email inbox and phone calls
  • Have a basic understanding of the legal file handling process and the administrative elements
  • Draft correspondence
  • Scanning and organization of company documents
  • Manage all insolvency files including but not limited to completing proof of claims and corresponding with trustee offices
  • Support the team of Paralegals in drafting legal documents
  • Managing and registering liens with the Personal Property Registry for secured assets
  • Provide proactive file management
