Job Description
Our Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Department is one of the foremost in the region, experiencing significant growth over recent years. We are currently seeking a Legal Advisor with 1-3 years experience in clinical negligence to manage and expand a busy caseload of clinical negligence cases, ranging from initial instructions to trial or settlement of litigated cases. The successful candidate will also support senior solicitors with high-value complex claims.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Law Degree (or equivalent); LPC qualification; Legal Executive qualification.
- Must have 1 - 3 years of experience in clinical negligence within a law firm.
- Excellent IT and case management skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Previous experience working with case management systems will be an advantage.
- Ability to present a professional image at all times to clients and collaborators.
- Socially confident with good written and oral communication skills.
- Hardworking and able to work to tight deadlines.
Additional Information
Responsibilities:
- Manage all client work allocated by the Head of Department.
- Ensure expeditious progression of client work while maintaining regular client communication on progress and costs.
- Uphold high standards of client care in a professional and courteous manner.
- Achieve set performance targets.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all firm and client documentation and information.
- Foster clear and precise communications with other firm personnel.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with external institutions and organizations.
